I have nothing but amazing things to say about Kate & Jay and their wedding day at the historic Philander Chase Knox Estate at Valley Forge! We started the day surrounded by their amazing friends and family which set the tone for a fun, upbeat wedding day. Kate’s bridal details were simple yet classic which allowed me to really play with lines and lighting to accentuate each piece. Kate’s mom helped her into her dress and put on an heirloom watch that belonged to her grandmother. Kate’s sister also wore this watch at her wedding which makes the piece all that much more special and meaningful!

When we arrived at Philander Chase Knox Estate, we transitioned right into their first look and I have to say that this is probably one of my favorites to date! The emotion and excitement shared by Kate & Jay is almost palpable and we barely needed to provide any direction for their portraits because they were so in their element – take a look at those authentic smiles and laughter!

Their beautiful outdoor ceremony was held in the clearing below the main house and we had the most perfect sunset as Kate’s father walked her down the aisle. Kate’s brother-in-law officiated the ceremony and Jay’s sister sang an amazing rendition of “To Make You Feel My Love”. Seriously – she blew Adele’s version out of the water and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Kate & Jay shared personal vows full of thought and emotion which, in my opinion, is one of the most special ways to start off the adventure of marriage!

Sister Virginia Paschall did a Philadelphia Eagles themed blessing kicked off a night full of fun for the newlyweds! Fireball shots, an appearance by Spongebob and a jamming dancefloor were just some of the fun elements at Kate and Jay’s reception and I am so glad I was there to celebrate alongside their closest friends and family!

Kate & Jay – you two are amazing! Congratulations to you both, enjoy every second of this exciting new journey!
